Document processing

PDF Markdown Kit reads the PDF or image you select using browser-based parsing and OCR. Document bytes, extracted text and conversion results are processed on your device. The converter does not send them to our servers or to an external AI service.

We do not operate a server-side document upload, document storage or conversion history service. The current version does not require an account.

Browser storage and exports

The selected document and the current Markdown result are held in the running application. Refreshing or closing the page clears that application state. This does not delete your original file, anything you copied to your clipboard, or a file you downloaded.

Your browser may cache website files, conversion engine files and the English OCR language data. The application does not intentionally store your document or Markdown result in that cache or in a persistent conversion history. You can manage cached website data through your browser settings.

Website requests and hosting

Serving a webpage and its engine files involves network requests. When the public site is delivered through Cloudflare, Cloudflare may process request and traffic information, including IP addresses and routing information, to provide its services. This is separate from the document conversion, which runs locally in the browser.

For the hosting provider's practices, see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. We do not claim that visiting a website produces no network metadata.

Advertising and analytics

This version has no third-party advertising or application analytics. We plan to introduce third-party advertising in the future. It is not active now.

Before enabling advertising, we will update this notice to identify the providers and their data practices. Advertising services may use cookies, device identifiers or similar technologies. Any required consent controls will be provided before those services are enabled. Advertising will not change the browser-local document conversion described above.

Email you choose to send

If you email us after a support address is made available, your email provider and our email providers will process the message. We may use the sender address and message contents to respond to your request. Please describe conversion problems without sending private documents or passwords.

We will update this page when the way the site handles data changes. The date above identifies the latest revision.
